Certain Winds From The South: Original Trailer

M'ma Asana receives a visit from Issah, her son-in-law, one fateful evening. He has come to

inform her of his decision to embark on a journey to southern Ghana in search of better

opportunities. Through conversations and reflections between the two characters and others, we

uncover a vicious cycle of inequality that threatens their already precarious future.

The film 'Certain Winds from the South' is an adaptation of a short story by Ama Ata

Aidoo. The original story is included in her collection of short stories, 'No Sweetness Here'.
